How Roasted Roots Began
Roasted Roots Café was born in 2018 from a simple dream: to create a neighbourhood spot where everyone felt at home. Our founder, Mia Hassan, grew up watching her grandmother brew coffee on a wood stove every morning — the smell of fresh grounds, the warmth of family, the comfort of routine.
Mia carried that memory into a tiny rented kitchen and started serving hand-crafted coffee and home-style pastries to the students and workers in the area. Word spread quickly. Within a year, the café had grown into the welcoming space it is today — a place where you can catch up with friends, bury yourself in work, or simply enjoy a quiet moment with a great cup of coffee.
